I love, love, love this look from the new Mac collection. If I had my way, I would wear a golden snood on my head every day, in addition to committing the ultimate sin of accentuating both my lips AND eyes. But is it too much?

The great makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin once said: "I believe there are no rules when it comes to makeup. New and exciting ideas are most often created when chances are taken". I propose that we all take this to heart with our makeup looks this summer and beyond. There is no reason why I can't wear a 60's Nancy Sinatra cat eye every day in the middle of June, is there? Hell, no!

You are so right, people should wear what makes them feel good. Having been born in the 60's I am drawn to the 30's and 40's styles, is there somthing about loving things 20 to 30 years before your time? I am not sure, but I receive so much comfort from things of that time from movies,clothing,hairstyles and make-up.
