30 Day Drawing Challenge

I saw this 30 day drawing challenge over on Old Brand New and then went and checked it out on Allison Lehman's blog.  I'm kind of tempted to do it!  I really like to draw but I never seem to get around to it.  When I went to makeup school years ago, we had a week of art & drawing which I loved and I vowed to keep it up but sadly didn't.  I do feel like I need to do something creative and different, so this might be just the thing.  But I'm also plagued with doubts.  I think I may need to set up a few ground rules for myself, such as-

1.  If I'm feeling so stressed out because I just don't have time to draw that day, I will give myself a break and not feel guilty and pick it up the next day.
2.  If I hate my drawing and don't want to show it to the world I simply won't post it that day, no biggie.
3.  Just so you all know, I can only draw people and animals, and I've been told that I do it well.  But when it comes to inanimate objects, like a piece of fruit or a chair, it's like watching a two year old.  What's that all about?  I don't know.  A lot of the items in the challenge DO NOT fall into my drawable category.  That scares me.

I hope other people do this challenge too!  I would love to look at all the different styles of drawing.  What do you guys think?  Should I do this?

I like that you gave yourself exceptions because that's exactly how life is. If something comes up or if you feel overwhelmed...you get to say 'NO!' :) it's a very freeing thing. can't wait to see some of your drawings!
