I was at Sephora recently (heaven!), and got Stila lip glaze stick in Starfruit, a lovely pale but bright pink that works perfectly with a black smoky eye. It is a great alternative to the usual nude tones most people pair with a smoky eye. This does come in large stick form, and included with is a sharpener. Stroke of genius on their part. I, of course, have already managed to lose it somewhere in my incredibly small home. I think the cat may have hid it, in an oh so obvious protest against the amount of time I spend with my makeup and not with her! The lip glaze is like a gloss, medium shiny, and stays on fairly well. I did notice that if you apply lots of coats on top of each other, it becomes slightly tacky or sticky, but that is true of all glosses. Smells Delicious too!

just wanted to say hi! and that your blog is very funny, informative, and wonderfully readable. i also live in portland and was wondering what are the best places for haircut/color? i haven't lived here that long and i cannot waste $150+ on something i hate cause, well, i'm poor!
I get my hair done by the incomparable Lauren at Caporicci Sweet Salon on NW 23rd and Savier. It costs $35 for a cut and the color depends on how long your hair is. I always get lots of compliments on my hair, and I think it looks great! If you are trimming down your budget, try bishops or rudys, they are very affordable and give you free beer while you wait!
my personnal heaven is www.loreal.com because you can access all its brands from there!... and there are a lot!
